Team vs Everton
|
Bilic has confirmed Sakho is out for Saturday.
Who would you go with? Valenica for me. Carroll back on the bench.
SB: "Sakho is out. It's nothing major, he felt something after training last week and he has a small tear in his thigh. He's out on Saturday but the prognosis is that he will be fit for the game after the international break.
Alex Song has been training with us since before the Watford game. He's been with us for one week and is injury free. Now it's a matter of match fitness. We have a friendly game on Wednesday and he will play in that.
Winston Reid is back and will be in the squad. It was nothing major for him, but now he's been training for a whole week."

SB: "Enner is getting closer to being able to start. We've got options on that position, definitely."
Sounds like it will be Carroll starting.

As it's a home game I would give Carroll one more shot, and I fancy that's what Bilic will do. But don't leave him isolated, either push Valencia or someone up there with him.

Adrian Tomkins Reid Ogbonna Cresswell Obiang Kouyate Lanzini Payet Zarate Carroll
We need a bit more muscle at the back against Kone and Lukaku, Tomkins would be better for that than Jenkinson

I'd rather start Jelavic than Carroll.

Adrian Jenks Tomkins Ogbonna Cresswell Kouyate Noble (c) Payet Lanzini Valencia Carroll
Is what I'm expecting, although maybe he'll stick with Moses over Valencia.
Subs: Randolph, Reid, Obiang, Moses, Zarate, Jelavic, Antonio
I'd quite like to see:
Adrian Tomkins Reid (c) Ogbonna Cresswell Kouyate Obiang Payet Lanzini Antonio Valencia

I'd go with Trundles team except i'd have Valencia for Carroll.

Re: Team vs Everton

Rooney's movement caused Stones all sorts of problems the other week
Valencia doing the same instead of static carroll would certainly give us more chance of winning the game
Barry and McCarthy sit very deep too, so Carroll not stretching the CB's will give Payet less space to do his thing

We still have good options on our bench. Ogbonna, Obieng, Zarate, Valencia, Antonio and Jelavic.

Just hope we defend better than the Watford game if not then Lukaku will score his usual goal (or two).
